Girl's Day Out

P-51

B-24

B-17

Today I went and did something fun, or at least what I consider fun, I went with my sister, Melinda and my niece, Maribeth to see War Birds.  For those of you who are not plane enthusiasts, a war bird is a WWII plane.  They are very distinct and when you hear that low rumble in the sky, that is them.  We saw a P-51, a B-17, and a B-24.  It was a nice day out and I had a nice conversation with one of the gentlemen there.  We both agreed that the kids of today need to know why these planes were built and what their purpose was.

Yes, every kid needs to realize that if we do not learn from History, it will repeat itself.  We do not need that to happen.

Oatmeal and Indigo

Here is my first hat ready to go for the festival.  I have it blocking on a foam head.  :)  It is a new form of torture for a foam head.   The hat will fit a man with a big old noggin.  I used the hubby's head as a measuring tool.  I used a US 8 Addi turbo with a 24 inch cord for the needles.  I highly recommend Alice Starmore's Fair Isle Knitting book for absolutely fabulous Fair Isle patterns.  It is my go to pattern book for FI.  :)  For those of you who think it is hard to knit FI, you are wrong, it is so simple and do not waste your time with bobbins...that causes more havoc than it is worth.  I just separate my two yarns and make sure they never cross.  It also helps to knit with two fingers when stranding colors.  My main yarn is on my index finger and the contrast is on my middle finger.  It works out nicely for me.

As for color charts, if you have sticky notes, then use them as your guide.  They are cheap and they last for one pattern.  Do not waste your money on the magnetic covered ribbons, they are a waste of time and money.  I have no patience for them.

I used Peruvian Highland Wool for this hat.  It is extremely soft and it is cheap.  I love knitting with it and it holds up.  If I don't spend a fortune on the yarn then I can pass the savings onto the consumer.  :)  You don't need to spend a fortune for absolutely wonderful yarns.  I have learned this in my knitting career.  If you know what you are looking for, you can find it for a reasonable price.

I am on the heel section of the sock I am knitting.  I have turned the heel and I am about to pick up for the gusset.  Always fun to turn the heel.  It makes the rest of the sock go faster.  This pair is a 7.5 ladies sock.  I still haven't decided what price to list them at.

Taking Names and Cleaning out the Garbage

Today I had one of those days where I was just so fed up with all the garbage that people think I will take.  No, I am not taking any more crap off of people.  I have had it.  I normally don't take it off of anyone and to think that some people think they know me.  Think again, the pouty little twats in question need to realize that at the age of 40 I don't have time for their BS and stupidity.  I really don't care if they are upset.  Not my problem.

Roses are One of My Passions!

I have a piggie in the garden.  This is one of my Christmas presents from Gary.  I collect pigs and dragons.  I know a very interesting combination.  Anyway, he bought me a little piggie as well, he is on the back porch.  This is my mint patch and with it is one of the new blackberry brambles.  We love blackberry jelly in this house...let me tell you, fabulous stuff.  :)

Top pic is Mr. Lincoln with a beautiful new bloom.  Middle pic is the damask rose doing it's thing.  It smells heavenly in my back yard.  For the person who suggested roses being ordered on line.  I can't have any more roses, my beds are all full up.  There is no room for any more of them.  I kept the damask even though I was planning on giving it away, it is just too beautiful for me to part with it.  I can't wait for the vareigata di bolognia to bloom.  She is a beauty.  :)

I am working on drafting fiber right now and working on socks.  I am a woman of many talents, what can I say?

Sick Kitty

Well, my cat is still sick but, she is looking better, she gives me the "I hate you" stare which means she is feeling a lot better.  She hates the liquid antihistamine I have to give her.  She runs from me when she sees me with the syringe.  Well, if you have to give a cat meds...the syringe is the easiest....I don't even go for the mouth, did you know that it can be applied to her fur and she still gets it since it soaks into her skin?  Great thing I found out one day.  So, she runs when she sees me now with it in my hands.  I get the "oh shit, here she comes with it", look.  I am relentless in trying to get her well.

I am washing clothes for day 2.  Gary was washing sheets and other things for me.  He is a pretty good hubby at times.  Other times he makes me nuts.  You know, the typical normal marriage.  Sometimes I just want to whip off my shoe and beat him with it.  He knows this.  I think I make him crazy, too.

In knitting world...I am working on socks, a hat, a mitten, and a mitt.  Yep, I am an ADD knitter.  :)  If I would work on one thing at a time, I would be bore out of my mind.  The best thing about the hat is it is on big needles and almost finished.  The mitts and mittens are charts so, I know exactly where I am.  The socks are plain Jane's so, they are pretty easy to deal with.

Yesterday was pool time for us.  Add chemicals, break down the filter, pull out the grids and soak them in the 55 gallon trash can.  I am waiting for the cleaner to get here.  I will add it when it comes in.  Then they can soak all that crap out of them.  When they finish with the cleaner then I can go ahead and start the spraying them down process.  That is always fun.  It is an eye opener to see what kind of nasty gunk is in a swimming pool.

Now, Irwin, my Polaris 360 needs work.  I think the swivels on his line are dead, once again.  I know it is time for hose replacement.  I haven't done that in a couple of years.  I keep spit patching him together because those little guys are outrageously expensive.  Even with a body exchange, we are looking at $500+.  He is well worth it since he saves me from having to vacuum.  Vacuuming a pool blows!  When the skimmer basket on the pump fills up then I have to go run and shut the pump off so, I can work on getting the crud out of the basket.  Then I have to turn it back on and run back to make sure the line doesn't pop out of the skimmer in the wall and to make sure that the vacuum pole doesn't sink to the bottom of the pool.  In my current condition, it isn't a fun thing at all.

I am staring at yarn on my desk and thinking of all of the things I want to make.  Fun!

Chocovino

I went to the drug store to buy the cat some allergy medicine, she is sick.  Poor kitty.  I spotted the bottle of chocovino as I was going down the wine aisle.  Okay, when chocolate strikes me, I usually go down the chocolate aisle.  I couldn't resist, I picked it up.  I took it to the check out and was informed that if I got a bottle, I was doing well since it is very popular with all of the women in the area.  Well...okay.  I get it home, I put it in the fridge...it says to chill it.  I did.  Tonight, I grabbed a glass and had a taste just to see if I would like it.  Oh my!  It has a kick is number 1 on the list.  It is mighty tasty is number two on the list.  Number three...get your own damn bottle, I am not sharing!

I found out something interesting, I was pretty much kicked out of knitting group.  Like I care.  I posted on the group I started that I do not have time to knit with anyone these days, I am too busy designing patterns and working on my business.  I could care less if they don't want to knit with me, I knit better by myself.  I always have and I prefer it that way.

Gary and I took care of the pool tonight and we did a lot of maintenance on it.  He took apart the filter and scrubbed the inside out for me.  I added acid to it to get the ph down and to knock down the alkalinity, it is freaking high right now and if anyone crawls into it, they will have the hide peeled off of them.

My Feet

Yesterday I went to the Cy-Fest which is a street festival and let me tell you a few truisms about this event.  Number one is for the weather man who said it was only supposed to be 88F out there, liar!  It was 100F and let me tell you, my feet were suffering from the brunt of that heat.
Number two is for the people who put this thing together...think ahead next time and allow for more parking spaces.
Number three is for the vendors who were rude and didn't pay attention to the people near their booths, just ignored them...I was one of those people, since I had money to spend and you were rude, you lost out.
Number four...there was only one bench in the whole festival and I had to squeeze my poor hurting back and leg onto this thing between  several people.

I get back to the car and I am sweaty, stinky, and my legs and back are killing me.  It was awful.  Maribeth started screaming, she couldn't take it, either and when an 8 year old is having a fit because of it, it is time to go.  Gary rode some rides with Maribeth and seeing my hubby turn several shades of green on this one ride was priceless.  I knew he wasn't going to riding it again.  Maribeth was in love with it.  :)

Today my feet are killing me.  I have to go order a plant for a funeral tomorrow and then I can go on my merry way.  I need to work on getting the pool up to the right condition and go from there.
Ya'll have a blessed and wonderful Sunday.

Holy Smoke Batman!

I went to the funeral today and it was very nice.  I met a lady who turned out to be a DAR as well.  She and I hit it off like a ton of bricks.  I believe I talked to her for an hour.  I found out what a small world we live in.

After the funeral, I decided to drive down the road to my old home.  Many things have changed and some things stayed the same.  I just realized how close together the houses are in the city.  I don't like that.  After living here in the burbs life is much roomier.  Things looked smaller as well.  My old home is being cared for and the people who now own it are taking very good care of it.  :)

I am sitting at the light at Mangum and Hempstead hwy when I get a text from Melinda, I was waiting for a train to pass, she informs me that my niece by marriage lost her dad yesterday to a massive coronary.  How weird is it to be coming from one funeral only to hear about another one?  So, I get myself moving and get onto 290 to head home.  I called Melinda to ask about funeral arrangements and flowers for the family.  We are still trying to get the gist of that one...it seems my sister, she is older than both Melinda and I...gave Melinda her home address....excuse me?  We need to know when the burial is happening and where so, we can send flowers.  (eye roll)  It is like pulling teeth with this particular sister.

I then went to Melinda's house since I thought we were going to purchase our flowers for this funeral...ended up working on DAR stuff and an application for her next door neighbor.  We are like the Borg, we will assimilate you.  :)  A little Trekkie humor in the mix.

I came home only long enough to pick up Gary and head out to dinner.  We went to our favorite sit down Chinese restaurant and I ordered the moo-shi...in chicken, so amazing!  It was so tasty.

We then headed back this way only to stop and buy a circle cutter for his drill.  More on that later.  Tomorrow we are supposed to go to Cy-Fest and have some fun.  :)  I get to drag this damn knee brace around with my once again inflamed staph-y foot.  Monday will see my happy ass at the doctor for more of the cocktail.  SIGH!

It has been a very long and exhausting day.  At the funeral, I was doing fine until my friend gave me a hug and we both started bawling.  She was there for me when my mom passed away and I was there for her when her mom passed away.  It is a very awful feeling to lose your mom.  If you still have your mom be thankful and give her a big hug.  I miss my mom each and every day.  Men just don't understand how important moms really are to women.  They are very important to us.

I picked up some knitting when I got home and started working....it helps me cope.  If I couldn't knit, I honestly think I would be on some serious meds...almost cathartic from them all.  Knittng keeps me sane and on an even keel.  I knit...therefore I am.

An Update

Today I will be going to a funeral for my friend's mom.  She passed away this week.  The funeral is at 11 am so, I get to drive into my old stomping grounds.  I haven't been back in a while.  It should be interesting to see who is going to be at the funeral, I haven't seen some of these people in 20 years.  It might be like a high school reunion.

Last night we had the best DAR meeting ever.  We actually gained 4 more members.  The JROTC guys were great, they learned some things about us and we learned some things about them.  I don't think this next year we are giving them up.  They are ours.  The other chapter who had their mitts in them...can go the way of the dodo.  I think they had a good time with us.

I am totally worn out right now...my left foot is kicking in again.  It drives me insane.  It doesn't help that I will be walking on it today.  It bothered me all night.  I should have known it would go full blown today since it has been hurting or the past week.  It itched all night long and of course, I had to scratch it which makes it all the more worse.  Grrr!

First Roses of 2011

If you don't know it already, I am a rose fiend.  I love the gorgeous blooms of them and I fought long and hard to keep my noisette but, alas, it must be done in.  It sits in the garden like a big lump.  It is either food or rose...I think food wins.  So, I will be taking a cutting of my lovely rose and hopefully, it will be living a nice life with my sister, Melinda.  She wants it.

So, for your enjoyment...my girls have bloomed and these are the first blooms of the season.

Top two photos are my damask rose...smells heavenly.  Then we have Mr. Lincoln, a hybrid tea that always performs well and last is the China Rose.  It smells like a banana crossed with a rose, very sweet.  All of my roses were planted for scent as well as beauty.  :)

Damn, Damn, Damn!

I slid tonight and managed to tear the knee again.  Talk about painful.  I swear this thing is really starting to tick me off.  The foot is swollen as is the leg from the knee down.  I managed this in my brace.  GRRRR!

I got a text today from one of my oldest friends...her mom passed away last night.  I knew something had happened last night since I had a funny feeling.  Yep, it was her mom.  So, the funeral services are on Friday at 11 am in Houston.  I will be going to the service.  I picked out my flowers today and I am having them delivered.

I spent some time out on the back porch on my porch swing.  It was nice to just sit out there and swing.  The porch is really cool right now with the coolaroo shades down...best investment we have ever made.  :)  We also have the big coolaroo over the pool, it helps keep the swim seat cool as well as the deep end and this way, I won't get burnt under it.  That is always a good thing.

I had to order in dry acid today since my ph and alkalinity are off of the charts.  I haven't messed with that pool at all over the winter.  I keep it running since I positively hate green water and slime everywhere.  Never again.

I have 1 inch okra plants coming up in my aerogarden.  I am so excited!  I love fried okra.  So tasty!  Gary isn't a fan of it.  Oh well, his tough luck.  I think tomorrow is more of the back yard cleaning along with fertilizing the corn and the green beans.  I also want to fertilize my strawberries.  I have food for all three items.  We also need to plant the peat pots of tomatoes into the ground, it is time.  :)

I am completely worn out from running around taking care of things today.  I haven't been this busy in such a long time.  I am going to sleep well tonight!

Monday

I have been battling my back lately.  Just when I thought it was all better...it came back at me with a vengeance.  Damn!  Today was supposed to be laundry day like every Monday but, it didn't happen.  I woke up at an unheard of 5:30 am and couldn't get back to sleep.  I was hurting.  So, I got up and went to fix myself some breakfast and watched the morning news with my hubby.  He went upstairs to start his work day and I fell asleep.

I got a call from our auto insurance agent and she wanted to fix the problem with the VIN on one of the cars.  We fixed it and managed to get a cheaper rate on our auto insurance in the process.  I said the magic words...the car no longer goes into Houston for work.  If you drive into Houston, they punish you.  I know why...those damn people drive crazy.  There was a time when 80 mph on Katy Freeway was considered slow.  If you didn't go their speed, they would run you down and take out your car.  I have no idea what they are doing over there now since I don't go into Houston at all.  I like life out in the burbs.

Gary and I are both incredibly sunburned.  We were riding in Stewie all weekend with the top down.  He put the new outdoor ceiling fan in on the back porch.  The old one was killed off by hurricane Ike.  The we started to clean all the clutter out of the back yard.  We will be cleaning out the rest of it this weekend.  There is a lot of crap that has to go.  No more clutter.  That is my motto.

I checked out my strawberry plants, they are doing great.  I put them in the ground on Friday and already they are sending out leaves.  Awesome.  We will see if they are going to be as gorgeous and as big as what was promised. If so, we are going to be in strawberry heaven over here.  Oh yummy!

I decided to keep my damask rose where it is in the back yard and it is blooming.  It smells divine.  If I remember, I will take pictures tomorrow.  I wish there were such a thing as smell o vision because ya'll would say ahhh, with me.

Scrapbooking Hell

For the past two days, I have done nothing but sit and scrapbook with my niece, Kate.  She had to get this stupid thing done for state conference this weekend.  Did we finish?  No!  She had so many pictures and we were finally getting our stride in when her mom called and said...get your butt home.  So, we packed her up with several items and out the door she went.

My back is killing me from dealing with it and my right hand is having issues from the carpal tunnel.  Last night, I was so wound up, I didn't get to bed until 2:30 am.  Grrr!

I haven't knitted and I have so much to do around here it isn't funny.  My strawberry plants are in and I have to call people and let them know they need to come and get them.  My nephew had asked for some and I said yes, because there is no way that I have room for 50 strawberry plants.

I also want to sew more sachets.  I have need of them for me and my sister will need more.

Happy Friday everyone!

Well Alrighty Then

Today was very interesting for me.  I was sewing lavender sachets to fill an order from my second to oldest sister.  She has moths...they had a wool suit for dinner it seems.  She had asked me to make her some awhile back and me being me...I procrastinate with the best of them.  So, today since I couldn't knit...my hand is in bad shape, no knitting for a while, I decided to break out my sewing machine and make sachets.  I also had to order in bulk lavender since my stock is running seriously low.  If you are looking for natural lavender for cheap, check out Texas Lavender...they are cheapest for their bulk lavender, everyone else is out of this world.

Kate came over to scrapbook today.  I am trying to help her out with her huge project.  She is the State Historian for the Children of the American Revolution and she has massive amounts of work to do on this thing to have it ready for state conference this weekend.  So, she went home with some of my Cricut Cartridges and some paper.  I have to finish making several items for her for this thing and then I can kick back and sew.

I sent her home with several pairs of shoes...even those glorious red ones that I vowed to keep.  I couldn't keep them since they were too small.  The weird thing was...Kate had bought a red dress but, didn't have shoes to wear with it and here I came along and gave her red shoes.  Now...if that wasn't meant to be, I don't know what was.  So, she had a huge stack of stuff that went home with her.

I try to help out my nieces and nephews when they need me.

I am trying to find my ribbon so, I can use it in this scrapbook.  Can I find it?  Nope but, I did find three items I have been looking for.  Just figures.

Learning to Walk

I don't know what the fascination is but, I have been on a high heel kick lately and for some reason, 5 inch heels seem to be attracting me.  Yes me, the lady who can't even walk barefoot without hurting herself.  So, today...I decided to teach myself how to walk in high heel shoes.  I put on a pair and started to parade around the house.

I have a pair of Bandolinos that are 20+ years old that I love, they are high heels...about 2 inches.  They are Italian made that is why I still have them.  For those of you youngsters who have no idea about this...shoes lasted that came from Italy back in the day.  This is why I still have that pair of heels and they are super comfy.

Well anyway, back to my learning to walk in a 5 inch heel.  How in the world is this achieved?  I have platforms in the bottom of these bad girls and I am trying to get the hang of it.  I really do want to wear them outside of the house without killing myself and everyone around me.  I can just see it...me gracelessly walking in these things in a restaurant and sliding off of them and taking out all of the tables and everyone sitting at those tables.  This would be just another day of me.  I am not kidding.  When my doctor found out that I had taken up stained glass making, he had to make sure my tetanus shot was up to date.  Yes, it is!

I had bought a pair of 4 inch heels that are just drop dead gorgeous and here is the weird thing...they fit when I bought them but, now...they won't fit.  I am thinking the heat must have something to do with it.  It has been hot around here lately...shorts weather for all of you up north.  So, tomorrow Melinda is going to get a chance to try those gorgeous beauties on.  Who knows, she might have to take up walking practice with me to wear them.  :)

I know I look super lovely with my huge black knee brace on and those heels.  My knee brace stretches from my shin up to past my knee.  It is neoprene and it is comfy for me after two years of wear.  Yes, two years with it.  It is so very hard to heal a torn ligament especially since I am extremely klutzy!  Just when it is about healed, I do something stupid and here it goes again.  Yes, like practicing walking in a pair of 5 inch heels.

You would think by now I would know better...well, if I did, I wouldn't do it but, then again, yes I would.

My House Was Shaking

This morning I got a very rude awakening, literally.  I was sleeping peacefully until my house started to shake...courtesy of some serious thunder and then kaboom...lightning striking outside my window.  It lit my bedroom up like a roman candle.

So, then I try to get back to sleep only to realize that more was on the way.  I knew something big was coming since I couldn't sleep last night.  I was up late and then finally I managed to slip off into sleep.

Today is laundry day and work on the mitt.  I want to get the first one completed so, I can get the second one finished, write the pattern and get it ready for sale.

Interesting little tidbit here...one of my friends saw my mitts I knit for charity and thught I had used needlepoint to make them.  Uh no, it is all knitting.

Yesterday we transplanted our tomatoes and our eggplant into peat pots and put them into the garden.  We also transplanted our chives and planted them.  So, hopefully everything will be happy and sympatico out there.  We need a bigger garden for all of the things I want to plant.  :)  I have bell pepper plants coming in soon along with strawberries.  We are going to have them out the wazoo.  Oh well, I love strawberries and if the plants produce as well as we expect them, we are going to have strawberries enough for preserves.  Ooh, I can't wait.  :)  I love them fresh.  There is nothing better than a fresh sweet strawberry.

I Have Been Remiss

So, I haven't posted in ages.  Sorry, I have been super busy.  I finished my mitts for Mitts of Steal and they are going to be mailed out today.  What have I been doing, you ask?  Well, I am designing patterns right now and knitting them.  I have a huge festival in October and I am trying to get my stock ready for that.  I am in full knitting mode and designing mode right now.  So, if you don't hear from me...this is probably why.

Top photo is the back side of my mitts, the middle pic is the palm and the last pic is the mitts front and back.  I chose to do a Selbu rose pattern.  I improvised the palm and the thumb.  I als realized that I might need to re-write this pattern some since there are some really long floats which if you don't knit, you have no idea what I am talking about, long strands of yarn that go from one part of the knitting to the other.  I had to cut them and tie them off inside so, the person who gets these mitts can wear them without having to deal with the threads.
I chose to use pea pod and regal for this mitt.  I am thinking of offering this pattern up for sale.  I just have to fix a few bugs and then it should all be ready for sale.  :)
Today I have tomatoes to transplant and then I have to move some tiny tomato plants to my big Aerogarden.  I have eggplants to do the same with.  Then I will be working on my new pattern.

I also have to plan my agenda for my March meeting.  There is just so much to do right now that I am about to pull my hair out and then some woman said something to me about knitting socks.  Hell, who has time to knit socks right now?  If you want a pair, they are going to cost you some serious cash.  Right now, if you want a pair of socks out of me, be prepared to pay $50 for them.  Seriously.  I have to do so many other things and my time is at a premium.  I am well worth the $50.  Anything else knit, go up from the $50.  My baseline for pricing is $50 right now.  Don't like it, learn to knit them yourself.

Ever want to run screaming into the night?  I want to go screaming down the highway in my car.  It helps to put the top down and just drive.

Now off to take care of what needs doing around here.
Ciao!

Mitts of Steal

If you are a knitter and you are looking for something fulfilling to do, why not check out Mitts of Steal group on Ravelry.  We are currently knitting mitts for dialysis patients.  I am working on my second mitt.  This is my first mitt, I chose to do a Selbu rose pattern for the back of the mitt.  I am using Pea pod by Knit Picks in Palette and Regal which is a reddish purple color for my contrast.  Several people have mistakenly called it black.  Not so.

If you don't want to knit anything fancy, there are several patterns that are simple and easy to do and quick.  I actually love doing the Selbu style of mitts and mittens so, this isn't a problem for me.

Check it out.

Update

My back on the right side is feeling so much better but, now it has moved to the left side.  I can't win with this damn thing right now.

My mitt is coming along nicely although I did have to go back and re-write the chart, I apparently was wigged out when I wrote the thing and I had to fix it.  I know what happened, I was in so much pain and I was in a hurry.  So, I took the hour tonight and fixed it.  If you have the charting software you know what a pain in the butt it is to deal with.  Pretty much you click on each square to create your chart.  It is neat looking and all but, by hand might just be simpler.

I am working on the thumb of the first mitt and then I will be finished with it and I can start the second one.  Oh joy and rapture.  :)

Screaming in my Sleep

I know it is a curius title but, that is what I have been doing, screaming like a banshee in my sleep.  You see, I sprained my back and I haven't had this particular malady in 22 years.  Either my age or my chunkiness is taking it's toll or both but, let me tell you...pure pain.

I will not take walking for granted ever again with this back.  My right side is the culprit and it just kills me to stand up right and walk.  Now, if I have an ice pack on the back I can do miraculous things but, without it, forget it.  I spent my day on the couch with the ice pack on the back and I was knitting my mitt for charity.  Check out mitts of steal on Ravelry if you are looking for a nice charity knit.  I am in the group helping out my friend, Kutoa.  She is a dialysis patient. It is for a worthy cause and as everyone who knows me...if you need help you will get it from me.

So, if you would like to do something wonderful in your spare time, check it out.

It's a Shredding Party

I am currently in Spring cleaning mode and well, it has been a long time coming.  My house was hideously trashed up.  I have been dealing with my health issues for two years running and do you know what?  I am tired of it all.  I am slowly spit patching myself together to get things taken care of.

Yesterday, I shredded all old bills.  Time to declutter this home.  I am to the point where I am making serious progress with contracter trash bags, I love those things since you can get so much crap into them.  They don't fall apart and they don't tear for the amount of trash going into them.  The trashmen are going to be doing their work around here with me cleaning this place out.

Today I am shredding more bills.  I had to stop last night since my shredder was smelling funny.  I am also going to learn to use my Yudu correctly.  I have shirts I want to make with the thing.

I have plans to finish the dining room today along with moving to the kitchen later this evening.  If I don't get lazy like yesterday.  I had to have an afternoon nap since it plum wore me out.  I need to get myself back to painting yarns.

Time to work.  I am going to paint what is in my heart, no more with what I think will sell, that just depresses me terribly.  So, I am going back to my roots.  I think it has been a long time coming.  Somewhere along the way, I did lose my road but, I found it again.
